USDOS publishes annual report on religious freedom

The US Department of State released its annual report on international religious freedom. This year, the USDOS changes the reporting period of the reports, shifting to a calendar year. The current issue of the report covers July-December 2010.

“The Annual Report has historically covered a reporting period from July 1of one year through June 30 of the following year. The current Report, however, covers a six-month period from July 1, 2010, through December 31, 2010, because the Department of State is shifting to a calendar year reporting period.” (USDOS, 13 September 2011)

The new reports also include an Addendum covering events occuring in the time span between the end of the reporting period and the publication of the reports.

We are currently uploading the reports on ecoi.net, they are already available for our focus countries and shall be included for all countries by 15 September. The reports can also be found on this USDOS site: http://www.state.gov/g/drl/rls/irf/2010_5/index.htm
