Communal fighting between the Ife and the Modakeke which left about 35 people dead and 50 others injured was reported in the month of May 2000 (Panafrican News 29 May 2000; AFP 5 May 2000; P.M. News 5 May 2000). For additional information on the Ife/Modakeke conflict, please the numerous Responses available on the topic.
Specific reference to the abduction and death of a particular individual could not be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.
